Silly songs where is my hairbrush

I was first introduced to veggie tales in college and was instantly hooked with the clever songs and wonderful message. And God is Bigger than the boggie man because it is a great principle for kids and adults! I love the theme song — whenever the kids are watching Veggie tales — the theme song always gets stuck in my head. I heard of Veggiet Tales long ago, because a friend's dad managed a bookstore, so they pretty much had access to whatever. However, my first time watching it was when I had kids.

I think my mom bought the boys the one about King George and learning to not be selfish. The theme song is very catchy and it's pretty cute. I love that they use music to teach lessons about the Bible and character. It helps my kids a ton! My boys 2yrs and 5 yrs love veggie tales! We keep a dvd in the car at all times. I will be on the bluetooth talking to my mom on the phone and my 2 year old with start singing at the top of his lungs…. There's no hero like you Larry boy.

Larry boy! Gotta love veggie tales! I think I heard it first as a teenager when my nephew was watching it. Thought it was so cute and had great morals!

I first heard of Veggie Tales when a mom brought it to Jr. Church for the kids to watch one Sunday. Thought it was great! Years later when I had my own, we always got them. When my now-teenagers were young, I discovered Veggie Tales and they absolutely loved them. We still burst into Veggie songs on a regular basis! The 1st time I heard of Veggie Tales was my early 20's.

One of my co workers worked in her church nursery and was looking for Veggie Tales decorations. I thought they were the cutest thing I had ever seen. I knew as soon as I had a child that is what I wanted them to watch!

And she does. Can't remember when I first heard about Veggie Tales…years before my oldest son was born. The first time I heard about Veggie Tales was my freshmen year in college. I just became a Christian my senior year of high school and never heard of the signing vegetables before. Now my children LOVE them. The first time I seen a Veggie Tales movie was last summer when the movie theater in our local area was offering free movies for the children.

I enjoyed it so much I went out and bought the movie. Since then our collection of Veggie Tales movies have grown and my daughers love watching them!!! I had already planned on the easter bunny bringing them this wonderful movie! I used to hang out at my aunt and uncle's house all the time when their children were younger. My uncle was always singing the theme song and I learned it from hearing him sing it all the time.

I have children of my own now and a few weeks ago I was with the youngest in the nursery at church and they started a Veggie Tales video. I was surprised that I could actually remember the theme song…it's quite catchy! I started hearing VeggieTales in college when I worked at a church camp in the summers — they are now a part of our family collection that my 2 little boys love!

I first heard of Vegie Tales when I was in middle school in youth group! On a bus with a bunch of teenagers singing the Theme Song! I was initiated about 11 years ago when I was 19 and I think my favorite song is the Stuff Mart Rap… my year old son can sing the theme song and it's sooo sweet when he asks to watch one of the shows. I first heard of Veggie Tales when I was in my early 20's and was part of a singles group at church.

A friend of mine worked at Family Christian Stores and introduced all of us to Veggie Tales, which was new at the time. Yes, we were supposed to be adults, but they were so much fun, we occasionally had Veggie Tale marathons. It was my first year of teaching and I thought the songs were catchy and hilarious! I also think that the values taught are great and the way that it is done…genious!

Confession: I've never seen Veggietales! I heard about it from some friends at church and would love to introduce to my kiddos! Hi…the first time I ever heard of Veggie Tales was in high school. I had two friends that rented it for a spend the night party. I haved loved them ever since and have recently introduced it to my almost-two-year-old! I have no idea when I first heard of them. But I have 3 sons age 2,4,and 6 and they love VeggieTales.

But Everyone has a Water Bufalo is the funniest song! My son has toothbrushes that sing 3 or 4 songs! I could sing them in my sleep! It was with my son…. LOL I am trying though. We have loved Veggie Tales from the very beginning! My kids are teenagers now but they still love to watch them and share them while they are babysitting or when friends come over and bring little ones. I am thankful they are adding new videos but we will always treasure the old ones, too.

I didn't grow up in church and came to Christ later in life not long before we had children. I'm a chef and began teaching a cookery lesson tied into our monthly Bible focus in our Kidztown Classes at church and the kids would sometimes start singing about vegetables I was using.

I had never heard of these songs, but knew I needed to learn them as my kids were becoming toddlers. We now watch and watch and watch many Veggie Tales movies at home and in our Sunday mornings with the kidz. I'd love to win the newest to share with all the children in my life! This first time I watched Veggie tales was with my mother.

My mother passed away 6 years ago but I still think of that every time my daughter watches Veggie tales. I heard about veggietales was 7 years ago when we moved to the USA from south africa and my boys just love veggietales! The first time I heard VeggieTales was when I began working at a Christian dance school, and I couldn't wait until I had kids of my own and could share it with them.

I thought, hummmm, that's a fun song. NOW everytime I make broccoli, the kids sing, 'Broccoli! Gotta be! Cute and catchy tune!!! My favorite song? There are so many I love! Song of the Cebu, The lip song, Oh where is my hairbrush… I think my favorite would be the theme song. The first time I heard of Veggie Tales would be probably 13 years ago when my sister worked at a Christian Book Store. I first heard about Veggie Tales when my nineteen-year-old son was in elementary school.

Our family was definitly addicted. We bought every VHS tape and sing-along on cassette tape. The entire family loved singing ourselves silly with the Hairbrush Song, the Bunny Song, and the Watterbuffalo. I am happy to report that my teenaged children and I are still addicted to Veggie Tales. If they weren't, I would pray for grandchildren. I taught Sunday School for 4 year olds when I was in college and became quickly familiar with those cute little vegetables.

My favorite song this week is the pants song on the Sweetpea Beauty dvd. A really close friend introduced me to Bob and Larry when my kids were toddlers and we've loved them ever since. We just can't help but sing along. I first heard of veggie tales when I started babysitting during college and these were the only movies that one of the families I babysat for allowed their kids to watch while they were out.

Then many yeasr later, I took my kids to a summer movie show at a local church where they showed sweet pea beauty. Seven years ago when I taught 5th grade and the principal introduced to us one of their videos. I loved it and enjoy checking them out in the library for my daughters. I had heard of them from friends with older children but never really watched them until my sister-in-law gave my son 4 yrs some videos for Christmas a few years ago.

He was almost too young to appreciate them at 2 but now he loves them especially the Larry Boy videos. I first heard about VeggieTales when I was in college. My husband used to go by the nickname Larry and someone told us about Larry the Cucumber…so we had the singing Larry the cucumber and LarryBoy dolls, etc. Now, out 3 year old daughter loves VeggieTales. I first heard of Veggie Tales back in whe my son started in the Sunday School at church. They always played the movies at the end of class and my son loved them.

My 2 yr old is getting into them now. Oh wheeeeere is my hairbrush? Oh wheeeeeere is my hairbrush? My room mates laughed and said no it's Veggie Tales! Now years later it is one of our favorite movies to watch with the kiddos! Still don't know where my hairbrush is though! First heard of veggies tales when my 26 year old grandson was very young, I think he had every one out, he really loved them! It is adorable because he can't quite pronounce all the words :. The first time I heard Veggie Tales was at church before I had any kids. Now I have 3 and they love Veggie Tales. I love that they love it, too! We love Veggie Tales at our house! The first time I heard about Veggie Tales was in my son's Sunday school class at church. I first heard of Veggie Tales when I started working as an administrative assistant at a church.

The Hairbrush Song!! I'll be singing that song all afternoon now! Would love this for my little boy! My grandchildren love Veggie tales, they live in another state so I don't get to see them often. I remember watching movies with my kids and I wish Veggie tales was around back…. Easter memories are also the most precious.

I would love to send them a DVD and a CD this year, both parents are out of work looking for jobs so this would be a Blessing!

Oh, where is my hairbrush?!? I had no idea what she was talking about until she found it online somewhere and showed it to me which was quite a feat, as there was no YouTube, Hulu, etc. My first time hearing about VT was in college too…some friends from Campus Crusade were singing the cheeseburger song. Now I have two little girls and we all know and love all the songs!!!!! A friend of mine who passed away in highschool had a veggie tale doll that sang god is bigger than the boogie man and thats where i heard of them and the only song that really stuck with me.

My two kids love for me to sing it to them! I found it very odd…and intriguing. So, I looked up the VeggieTales and have been in love ever since! My first introduction to Veggie Tales was through Madame Blueberry years ago and I have never been the same since.

Actually, just watched Jonah today! I would love to share this new Easter DVD with them! They haven't seen it yet!!! My boys could watch that movie over and over. We checked it out at our local library and they still beg me to get it again!

I started watching Veggie Tales with my son now 9 months old! Instant happiness :. I was in 6th grade and Veggie Tales were just starting to get big. I fell in love with Larry and his Silly Songs. I remember getting Larry Boy and the Fib from Outer Space for my birthday and thinking it was the greatest gift ever!

We use Veggietales alot in our children't ministry at church. It will keep them attentive for hours. Even my oldest child who is a youth still like to watch them. I think they are a great teacher for children. I love their music and my favorite is Destined to be. Veggietales has been a tremendous gift to our family. We started watching them when my oldest now 13 was a baby. All of my children love veggietales. The first time I heard Veggie Tales was when I was a college student, baby-sitting a group of kids during choir practice.

We put a Veggie Tales video on for the older kids while doing activities with the little ones. I was hooked! I had to laugh when I saw how you first heard about Veggietales, because for me, it was in college as well!

I will never forget coming back after InterVarsity and watching Veggietales with my small group :. Michelle ocdcleanfreak yahoo. I was a teenager when I first listened to Veggie Tales. Today, I have extended my love for Veggie Tales by sharing with our children.

So awesome!! Oh where is my hairbrush? I've been bald nearly as long as I've been a dad, but this has been my and my children's favorite!

My 21 year old son still sings it when he's well, looking for his hairbrush. We've been fans of Veggie Tales since their debut in the early '90s.

I first heard of Veggie Tales a while back before I had a child. LOVE veggie tales! First time I heard of it was when someone gave my son the dvd of Silly songs with larry greatest hits…too cute! They really get stuck in your head though ;. I bought Veggie Tales for my children when they were small.

When I was babysitting one of my favorites and their mom showed me…. Love Veggie Tales! When my kids were little, our church had Veggie Tales Super Saturday movie mornings.

My son was a toddler and was facinated by the characters. Now as a tweenager, he still likes them. The first time I saw Veggie Tales was when I looked after the babies in the church nursery. I could not believe how adorable they were, and how much the kids loved them. Song of the Cucumber. My younger sister was little when VT first come out.

I used to watch them and thought they were quite funny. I first heard of Veggie tales in my church nursery. I volunteered there as a teenager and now have my own daughter whom loves the videos.

This would be a great addition to her Easter basket! Oh, Veggies are my favorite! I absolutely love all of them, however if I had to pick one song, it would be The Bunny Song. My twin nephews can't get enough of the Veggies. Their favorite is LarryBoy. I love that my 3 year old daughter loves Bob and Larry too! As long as i was singing he sat still and listened.

The first song coming to mind for me is the theme song. Netflix has many of the movies available online to watch through our Wii. He loves it. I heard my first veggiestales with my grandchildren. They love the movies and I really enjoy watching them with my grandchildren. I have 7 grandchildren 2 grandsons and 5 granddaughters and they are all brought up in the church.

They all love these movies and the lessons they learn, so cute to watch their faces as they watch and learn and to hear them song along with songs. My grandson Tanner was 2 years old and I was at the christian book store.

I had never heard of Veggie Tales until that day. They were playing it in the store. We stood there and watched for a long time. I think they are great movies for the kids. Thank you Veggie Tales! Our first exposure was at church when my daughter starting going to yr old sunday school. I was in Spanish class in high school and we were watching a veggietales song in Spanish. I was dropped off early and would go to the library where the younger children stayed until class began.

We would watch every morning and needless to say I memorized many songs and scenes of episodes. I had not heard of VeggieTales until college. My boyfriend now husband sang the hairbrush song all the time! I was in junior high or high school when veggietales first came out and I remember thinking the videos were so cute…but I enjoyed them too!

The first time I heard of Veggie Tales was at my friends house in 9th grade she had little brothers and sisters Now that I have kids of my own, they love it too! VeggieTales are great! I first heard about veggietales when I was a teenager babysitting 2 rambunctious 3 year old boys. I remember hearing about them when I was in high school from some of my church friends who started sing OH where is my hairbrush…..

It melted my heart when he was singing the opening song in the car about a month ago. My daughter was about 3 months old and she would just laugh at larry. We started watching them and still do. I would have to say my favorite song would be oh where is my hairbrush or the cheeseburger song. My neices and nephews and the children I babysit them watching them.

I thank God for them. The Hairbrush song is the best ever! I think the first time I heard veggie tales was when some something ladies were singing the songs at a church fellowship. I loved the songs, went and found some on the Internet and then bought some DVD's for my kids. I first heard of Veggie Tales about 9 years ago from my grown step-son who was living in California at the time. My favorite song was the I Love My Hairbrush…..

I remember being at atn Acquire the Fire youth rally and they played the Hairbrush song. The youth all sang along!! Loved their craziness the veggies and how catchie all the songs are.

The Cheeseburer song is probably my all time favorite!! The first time I heard of Veggie Tales was after the birth of my first child whom is now 6 years old. I first saw Veggie Tales at youth camp. They played the before the worship service every night while everyone was coming into the chapel. One of my teaching friends used to tell me all the time about how her grandchildren loved Veggie Tales.

Now that I'm a grandmother, I understand what all the hype was about. I love them, too. I have never seen Veggietales, but my girls have seen it at church. My 3 year old daughter talks about Larry the cucumber?

I would love to put some Veggietales in their Easter baskets! I had a friend in 7th grade whose mom would play it for her little sister, but we secretly loved singing the songs like the cheeseburger song. The VeggieTales sing-a-long was a hit when I was in youth group. We teens found it so cool. Now, my toddler loves watching Bob and Larry!

It was the late 90s when I bought a few VHS tapes for my kids now teens. I just recently bought a pile of DVDs from a deal here of course! I love that my teenagers enjoy VeggieTales even more than the baby! I heard the hairbrush song through our college ministry about 10 years ago and we just all loved it. Surprisingly enough, my son just saw his first veggietales video at church childcare this morning and was singing some song all throughout lunch.

Super fun giveaway! I have been hooked ever since. The first time I heard of Veggie Tales, I was in junior high school at cheerleading practice. When I watched it the first time, I was helping on Sunday nights at church and the teacher showed a VeggieTales movie. I've loved them ever since! During high school I even had a V. We bought my daughter a Veggie Tales personalized CD for her 1st birthday.

I first heard of them at church. Love love love it-we are still listening to it 6 years later. My 3 year old daughter sings all the songs in the 1 video we own. I love Lyle.

What a cute sweet little asparugus! I first heard of them from children at my church. They were singing the Hairbrush Song and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. We watch Veggies Tales before chapel every Wednesday and it is by far my classroom's favorite! They teach so many great lessons! Hmmm… it might have been pre-kids with my husband, then boyfriend, when he told me he went to the church of the creators of VegeTales. Seeming how I was 18 and didn't have kids had not yet discovered that world.

My introduction came from a dear friend. I love these videos. Both my children have enjoyed their songs. The thrift store always has a couple in stock and we love to donate any duplicates we get to our local library.

We even got the CD where it sings the songs and uses their names. The first time I heard of veggie tales was at summer camp. We were supposed to be playing sports, but it got rained out so they put in veggie tale sing along. I love veggie tales and can't wait to share them with my daughter when she gets a little older!

I heard of VeggieTales when I was in high school. The local Christian radio station would play a VeggieTale song at every morning. I think I discovered Veggie Tales just after my first son was born so about 4 years ago!! Three boys later and we still love it! I, myself love the song Quenn Esther sings on that video! We watch veggie tales A LOT!! I have an 8, 6, and 2 year old, so I've been watching those veggies a long time!

I was pregnant with my first child as I was walking in a Christian bookstore years ago. VeggeTales were popular at my church so I bought a dvd on sale. Then, when she got home from school she changed into what she believed to be the best possible outfit for a little afternoon tree climbing in the backyard.

She is one side ponytail and a bottle of bleach away from looking just like Chrissy Snow. The girl has her own unique style. Which is going to require me to put the summer clothes up on a very high shelf. As in pants…or a skirt. I am thoroughly enjoying hearing your wardrobe woes with Caroline, only because misery loves company, and she has the same preferences and attitude! And yes, she has even worn the side ponytail! We have been hiding summer and outgrown clothes, but she always finds them.

Good luck with that! When my girls were little I routinely packed up and hid the clothes that were out of season. Unfortuntely now that they are teens that no longer works but the occasional short skirt has been known to mysteriously go missing in the wash. I live in Michigan, we are expecting a high of 15 this weekend. The summer clothes have been hidden for a long long time, sigh. I love your little girl drama because all I have is little boy drama. Yeah, the temperature right now in my glorious state is degrees.

I want girls so bad but the thought of them wanting to put on mis-matched clothes is making me out of breath.

All I could think about when I saw the pictures was my jealousy of the warmth of where you live. Sigh…we are snowsuits and boots here and probably for the next 2 months or so! I feel your pain, and have for a couple of years now with my 5 year old. On those days, I, like you, just take her picture and put it up on the blog. One pole for the out of season, one pole for the current season, and the already matched 1 outfit per hanger easy for daddy to dress a little girl pole.

I said the fours are the hardest! My 12 yr old son wants to get a mohawk. I said — OK. Kids are sooooo fun! Keeps you on your toes and on your knees! You have some very alert readers or at least one. Yes, what are they doing??? My oldest has been known to put on clean underwear and not take off the dirty ones for three days yes, three pair of underwear layered all together.

Good spanking padding though! So, when I ask if she would be open to one of those closet organizer thingers that have different spots for each day of the week. That has gotten many miles of smiles from my friends! Black patent leather shoes keep appearing on feet here too — along with spaghetti strap shirts and shorts — even a GA winter means more clothing than that! Oh, it happens with boys too. I have a 5 year old who likes to tell me the outfits I pick out for him each day are not really cool enough.

You are FIVE, my son. Where do these kids get it? Her response? I learned this the day we took Sean to church wearing orange and blue Hawaiian print shorts and a plaid shirt and maybe a few other shirts. But who am I to speak. Wait until she is Madison picks her clothes out and she is going through the jean and a long sleeve t shirt phase or sweatshirt. She looks like a bum.

It drives me crazy. Hoping she will come out of it soon. I feel your pain. Often, I find myself dropping my 5 yr old at kindergarten wearing an unusual combination of clothing. Yes, you need to hide the not school-appropriate stuff.

Or, better yet, send her to a school with uniforms! Oh, I laughed out loud at this because I can so relate. We absolutely have to hide summer clothes around here for both of my children. Even my 3 year old boy! He is actually the worst one. Muscle shirts with swim trunks is not good in January, even in NC. This is the age apparently where what you wear is starting to become important.

As a matter of fact, 7 is becoming my favorite age. She actually values my opinion! Where did all this drama come from? I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree. Sounds like my niece over the holidays. She is 4 and my son and I went to visit her and her family. It was December mind you and was somewhat on the cool side.

We had planned a trip to ride the trolley, have lunch and see some Christmas decorations. Maybe we should get Caroline and SC together and see what they come up with! Thanks for making me laugh today! And my girls who are 6 and 8 currently something to the tune of 7 outfits each laid out upon their bedroom floor.

They are trying to select the perfect clothing to don for an hour of reading the last book on the Chronicles of Narnia. This is accompanied by pink knee socks. You just have to smile beatifically when strangers do a double take.

It only took one uncomfortable outing before she got it. Now she layers skirts, shorts, leggings, dresses, you name it, topped off with wacky-printed tights and those darn fancy black shoes. I would definitely weed out the closet. That would be so fun!!! Truly worth your time…. A side ponytail!! Big school waits for no one, and we had to get this crew moving. She felt pretty sassy. Just wait — Your day is coming……………………. Chrissy Snow!

Hahaha I love that! Anyway, I just wish that it was warm enough here to wear shorts. I am a bit jealous. I want warm!!!!! Before my toes and fingers freeze and fall off—I know, nice visual. We constantly battle our 6 year old. Some days she get dressed totally on her own, and for the most part has gotten quite good at picking out her outfits.

But now-a-days. I try to get her to pick out her pants first and then select two appropriate shirts for her to wear. And today on the way to Target…. I thought I should copy you and start banning myself from the store that I have no self control in.

Even when 2 of the 4 kids are with me. What is up with 4 yr olds these days??? The drama! And there we sat in Starbucks sipping our coffee together, talking about boogers and you know, 4 year old things! But seriously, coffee? Hannah Montana and all. I have a feeling you have many more such days in store.

He was soo sad. That might worry me. Thank you thank you thank ou for putting that into such a great perspective for me!! Oh, and they like VT, but I could take it or leave it. Really, the arm thing bugs me, but can I just say why does Goofy get to talk, and Pluto has to be a dog?

My question for you is: how can someone who loves Mexican food as much as you do think that tomatoes are only marginally decent? Amen sister! Still living those days. We have had to put our foot down and tell our son that winter means no shorts and summer means no long sleeves and long pants and a sweatshirt. Apparently there is a need to explain this — a million times. And tonight was again, one of the those times.

Enjoyed reading your blog, got here from My Semblance Of Sanity. Good stuff. One of my favorites is Snoodles Tale which only has Bob the Tomato narrating the story. And the Snoodles have arms if it makes you feel better. I really love the silly songs too. Cracks me up! Select an online retailer below.

Note to self after reading the comments posted here: Never discuss, religion, politics, or Veggietales in polite company. God bless them indeed. I love me some Veggie Tales.
